Managing the drugs - Introduction

After creating the treatment in DelPro, the batch number of drugs that should be used for the treatment can be found in the logbook. The logbook is created according to the First In, First Out rule, meaning the drug close to expiring will be shown first. Based on this, you can select the drugs with the respective batch.

If there's a shortage of drug batches in the Drug Inventory, and batches are added later, the system will automatically update the records to reflect the new additions. The aim is that the inventory remains accurate and that the drugs are available for treatment.

If the treatment has more than one drug application, the next drug application—with its respective batch numbers—is calculated every full hour. Before that time, the batch number field in the drug card will be empty.

If the quantity of a drug was never added to the stock, the batch number for treatment could not be calculated. After adding the drug, it will be consumed according to the already-done treatments. The batch number will not be visible.

When you stop the treatment in DelPro, the system promptly removes all unrealised applications from the logbook, aiming for accurate record-keeping.
