Turnover rate

The turnover rate represents the proportion of cows that voluntarily or non-voluntarily exit the herd in a year.

The Turnover Rate page displays the monthly rate of animals that voluntarily- and non-voluntarily exit your herd in relation to the monthly average sizes of the herd. With the turnover rate at hand you can quantify the requirements to manage the size of your herds, regardless if you want to scale up, scale down or keep the size optimal.

The Turnover Rate page visualises the turnover rate as the following:

  • The evolution of turnover rate in a trend graph

  • The monthly turnover rate in a bar graph

  • The details for the monthly turnover events as rows in a table

To further help you categorise the turnover data for your animals, the Turnover Rate page lets you filter on Lactation.
